"All or nothing!"
It's to warm, I know, I really don't wanna complain but, really? 32 celcius! It's okay when the tempature slowly build ups, but we went from 22 C. last Sunday to 32 celcius to day. Tomorrow will be even warmer. Followed (ofcource) by thunder and rain, Friday we will hit the 19 celcius again. Today at work is was warm and hot aswell, though outside was warmer. The last days I have a bit more energy then I'm usually have, I love Summer, the warmth and sunshine gives me a bit more energy. Last night I didn't sleep so well, I think I slept for only four hours. I know, it's not enough, but I went trough this working day just like normal, easy! Tonight I will sleep better, though it's gonna be a warm night.
We have so much work the last few weeks, it's almost insane. People come from the office to ask me if some orders are already done or they come with a so called 'speeding' order. I or someone else at our section have to decide if the speeding order can be done thaty quickly together with the other orders what has to be done aswell. Sometimes I have to dissapoint them, cause the amount of work is just to much. They asked me today aswell if I could work another half day on Friday's, it's only for two weeks they told me. It's fine with me. It's busy, much bussier then let's say two weeks ago, I'm glad I can help out. Tomorrow a resting day, I'm looking forward to it. First off in the morning the inheritance appointment.
I'm a young Dutch man who has literally dived into a relationship. For this relationship I travelled from Holland to Canada, everything was good, solid and brand new! Then the break up after a small two years.Hear my story after the break up! And read with me as I rebuild and rebuilded my life!

Summer's here!
Summer's here!
Yep, Summer has finally arrived, though it's the Dutch Summer. Meaning: It's all or nothing. It was nice and cool this morning, such a good and comfy feeling riding towards work. Last night was kinda warm aswell, yes, I still sleep with a blanket, lol. Though it's a thin on, I have in total three blankets, and a few sprays. Tomorrow will be warm aswell, and upcoming Wednesday we will hit a record according the our weather forecast, 38 degrees Celsius!! Woot, woot! Like I said, it's all or nothing in Holland when it comes to weather. After Wednesday we will get thunders and perhaps followed by rain. Cooler days afterwards. I love the warm weather tough, hot or warm, it's all fine with me. I guess we all waited for Summer, let is last for a long while.
Last Saturday I received finally what I need for the inheritance from my Dad, the letter from the notary. I handed in the information and the times the notary needed last Wednesday. With those items and information they could make a 'certificate of inheritance.' With that certificate I can go to Dad's insurance and handle thing further of. In all, I must say the notary didn't take that long, only the needed information took a bit long. This coming Wednesday I will once again go to my Dad's insurance with my Uncle, think it's the third time now. I will have to be there around 10:30 am, that means I will have to skip the breathing therapy. Let's see how I'm gonna solve that, probably a call and it'll be fine.

Fathers day!
Fathers day!
Before my Father passed away, we as a Family didn't do that much with Father's day, or Mother's day. As a child I wouldn't find it fair either, lol, I mostly mentioned to my parents that they have double birthdays and I don't. There should have been a child day aswell, lol. Later when I grew up I realized that Father's day and Mother's day is about appreciation. Appreciate for what your Father or Mother do. Still as a Family we didn't celebrate those special parent days that much, birthday's were more special.
Today with Father's I stood still for a few hours thinking and remembering my Dad, life and time passes by so fast. We sometimes don't even realize what we have been trough, in the years, months and sometimes days. I was reading posts back on FB, posts from the time when my Dad passed away, it was like I was throwed back at that time while reading it, re feeling the thoughts, sadness, and the carings. It was quit a impact that week from 30 January until 7 February, when Dad got sick, and within three or four days passed away.
And then the funeral... I stood trough it, firm, calm but sad aswell, with many thoughts, though aswell memories. You know, although my Dad passed away, for me he's not gone. Yeah, he's gone, I can't see him, visit him nor touch him, etc, etc. Though in my eyes he's above looking down on me, guiding me in some sort of way. No, I'm not nuts, for me it's reality in a way, it calms me aswell. The good things I achieved recently I can probably thank my Dad for, he's my guiding angel in some sort of way...
Together with my Mom. They make a good team together.I don't have to worry about a thing anymore, it's all good. And as a last thing, I want to make them proud aswell, I'm ready to make a blast, the best is yet to come!

Picture time!
Picture time!
It's been a while, so let's throw in some pictures. Weekends are the days I will be out or stay in, when I stay in I take my time doing my groceries. No rush, I might even split my groceries in two parts and do them in two days. Just like I did this weekend, yesterday I did the first part of the groceries, today the second part. I enjoy it when I have time on my own to do groceries, today I decided to cycle to another village to do groceries there. I went to Wierden, a village only a little 3 km from my city. Wierden is a village I lived when I was still a young kid, Wierden is aswell a village where my Mom grew up. Here are some pics...
Normally I take the shortest route to Wierden, but then I would arrive in 10 minutes. And that was not my plan, I went from Almelo to Aadorp, and from Aadorp to Wierden.
Aadorp is a village on the northern side of Almelo, Aadorp is situated around the small canal Almelo-De Haandrik, which connects it to Vriezenveen on the northern side and to Almelo on the southern side. A train track leads right next to this canal and also heads from Almelo to Vriezenveen.
I was looking for this pond, but couldn't find it first, this pond is just between Aadorp and Wierden. I use to come here as a kid.
There's ofcource lots been changed here, I'm older now, lol. But was fun seeing this pond back.
My bicycle awaits me, time to head to Wierden, to do my last part of my groceries.
My first ice-scream of this year, Magnum Almond, the best ice there is. I bought one in Wierden.
After my groceries I rided home, I took the shortest cut. within 10 minutes I got home. On my way I always pass this little field with a few horses.
Finally I got her looking, this was the second horse, a quit bigger horse as you can see.
The supermarket in Wierden was a bit of a struggle, a new store so finding the items I needed was a struggle. But I succeeded, though I won't come back here again. They didn't have as much as the store as I use to go, plus they were expensive with most items. I even forgot a few items, when I got home I had to go to another store near to buy those items. When I got home after that I still forgot wash powder, lol! I didn't went back, the wash can wait. It was time for a nap and time to relax.

Getting closer and closer.
Getting closer and closer.
Yup, I'm getting closer and closer to the trip to Atlanta/ Georgia. I'm calmer about it and excited. My thoughts are, "Get on with it, I wanna start!" LOL. Start with things I need for this trip, starting with preparing myself for the trip. Upcoming week I will get a start with the preparing, upcoming Wednesday it will be almost a month before my flight. So that's a perfect start for the preparing. Preparing? Yes, writing down what I need, and what I have to do, perhaps a few gifts I will buy, I will have to get a few American Dollars aswell, (always handy) and... etc, etc. I'm not worried, let's get this started! I have no expectations what so ever, I will let it all come over me and let it all surprise me. I'm sure it will be a great adventure that I will NEVER forget.
A few people I know told me already recently that it's a pity to go for 9 days only, I know it's short but it's not that short. I have been in Paris, Berlin and London aswell for 8 or 9 days. With that in the back of my head in January I decided to book the trip for 9 days. The person where I'm staying at (Jan) told me recently that she wished I stayed longer then 9 days, 'two weeks would be good,' she told me. Well, I booked already the trip. I tried to change the days but that wasn't possible. Oh well, it will be good. Once I'm on my way my vacation trip begins. Meaning: Once I close and lock my front door and when I'll be on my way to the train station my adventure begins, once I close my front door the enjoying begins.
Today is been a bit of a lazy day, I rested and did some groceries. I went for a short coffee visit aswell at Janine's house. It's been a while since I been there, so I figured, I go there today. She's never been at my place, but that's okay. I asked her many times, but..... ah, it's good to have a few people where I can go to for a visit, or where I can share my story or fun or whatever, lol. It's good to be out. This morning I waited aswell for a message, a message from a fellow worker. I asked him yesterday, that if they were to busy that they could message me. But the message didn't come. We had so much work this week, that it was almost not possible to get it all done.

Thank God it's almost Friday!
Thank God it's almost Friday!
It's been quit the week when it comes to work, our section didn't manage to finish this week orders. We could have, but we came material and tools to short. They had to be ordered, and yeah, ordering takes some time. We did our best, I was exhausted after each work day, but it was well worth it. It was fun to help out, the days flew by. Probably I will work tomorrow a half day, though still not sure. There's still lots of work to do.
They didn't ask me to work tomorrow a half day, but when I got home I figured, 'oh well, I can manage one more half day. I asked one of the fellow workers on Facebook trough a message if he could need me tomorrow for a half day. He responded by saying that he will keep it in mind. So, maybe tomorrow in the morning I will get a message back. It's all good with me. Like I said, I like to help out and showing "that" is aswell a good thing.
No further plans for the weekend, it rained for the first time today after a few weeks. It cooled down, next week it will get warmer again. Sweating at work the whole day made me cold this evening, lol. I'm writing this post with a thin sweater on and long pants, last few days I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Talking about t-shirts, I still need a few. yeah, I have grown, lol. Some t-shirts I own don't fit me no more. Shame though, they were from Wal-Mart, good memories.

Second inheritance appointment.
Second inheritance appointment.
It was my second appointment for the inheritance this morning, and there will be a third appointment. Poor me and poor Uncle, lol. We weren't even 10 minutes at the notary, we knew we had to bring in some items so that they could copy it. But we didn't know that 'that' was it, we handed in the paper items, the secretary made the copies and told us that the notary will handle this further now that he has all the information complete. I will as soon as possible hear from them trough a letter, probably by the end of the week. I could have known this but I didn't think further. The whole train trip lastet longer then the notary visit. Another train trip, another 5 bucks, the good news is I'm done with the notary. (hopefully) When I receive the final letter from the notary, I can go to Dad's insurances agency with 'that' final letter and then...
Hopefully, finally... the inheritance. I think by the end of the week I will have everything done. I never dealed with a inheritance, never witnessed it, so , I will just see. This morning was quit full. First of the breathing therapy, the therapist worked on my shoulders today, ouch, that was painfull. Now, my plan was actually to go back home after therapy and rest a bit, and then of to the train station. My therapy ended at 10:15, my train will leave at 11:30. So, in between I would have a 75 min break. It takes me 10 minutes to ride from therapy to my villa, and it takes me 20 minutes to walk to the train station. Hmm, that means I still can have a 45 min rest. Yeah, that's not much. I decided differently, it's my resting day and I surely didn't feel like walking for 20 min to the station and then aswell 20 min back towards home.
Hey, it's my resting day, lol. I went for a coffee after the therapy at the Hema, (store) and then went to the train station. Note: I truly dislike to put my bicycle at the train station, there are several thief's there who steal bikes. I think this was my first time ever to take my bicycle to the station after a long, long time. Though I hided my bike well, not at the station but somewhere safe behind a store close to the station. After I got back from the appointment I had to remind myself quit often to not forget my bike, lol. I'm used to walk home after a train trip. Thankfully my bike was still there and locked. Do, I won't do it again. Next appointment? I will walk or I will cycle to the appointment.

Well exhausted, but satisfied.
Well exhausted, but satisfied.
Pretty well exhausted after work today, but I knew that tomorrow would be a resting day. So, today I gave just like yesterday a 100%, maybe just a bit more. I was surprised about the many orders we received this Tuesday, and what actually has to be finished later this week. Last week and the weeks therefore it was calm and quiet with the orders, and now when our foreman is on a holiday the orders come. I'm not complaining though, keeping work is good, good for the company and good for us workers. It's just a bit awkward, lol. All of us on our section did a good job, we worked well together. Though it's just a bit different now when our foreman is on a holiday.
Everyone of us does something and does it well. We finish it and go to the next thing, There's no actual line (or how you say it) in the work we did the last few days. without having that 'line' in it. Although that, we managed today alot, we finished the things we wanted to be done, well, kind of. We can be proud on ourselves, we don't actually feel there's a foreman, we all do it together. Tomorrow I will be off as you all know, a resting day as I call it. There's still alot to be done, but I'm sure we will manage. Like I said, we managed already alot today. Tomorrow early although my resting day. Breathing therapy first, then a little short rest and then of to finish the heritance, I'm getting there.

"Second foreman!"
"Second foreman!"
Today was my first day as a foreman, well, actually I was kind of a foreman together with another fellow worker. That fellow worker knows his job too, he's been working just a bit longer there then me. He's from Bosnia, he speaks and understands Dutch, though not so well. He's a nice and down to earth guy and a hard worker. Two foreman working well together, what he doesn't know, I know, and what I don't know, he knows. I'm glad he's around, I couldn't do it alone. Today was quit busy, with many orders and some orders what really had to be done today or tomorrow.
Gosh, I was excited this morning, excited to go to work and do my job as a foreman. Showing my skills and work together as a team, today went well, we succeed the things what had to be done. Tomorrow another day, this will go on for four weeks, then our foreman will come back from his holiday. This working day went pretty fast aswell, it sure wasn't that easy, I can only have respect for my foreman. As a foreman you'll have to get the orders done in a certain kinda order, this order first, then that order and then that order, etc, etc. In the meantime you have to get your fellow workers to work.
Meaning, when they are done with the given work, you'll have to get other work for them. (Oh my English explaining, lol) Sometimes, (read: mostly) a secretary comes from the office with another order what really, really has to be done today or the next day, a rush order. You will have to decide then if that rush order can be done today or the next day. Like I said, today went well, I'm not worried for the following four weeks. I love it, I feel like it's a challenge. 'Dare me,' lol! I learn from this aswell, it's good for me, oh and this day flew by like a rocket. Fun day, roll on Tuesday.

Heritance, finally this week.
Heritance, finally this week.
I got my 'heritance' letter, it arrived yesterday. I red it and it's quit simple to read and to understand. The letter came from the notary. Last Wednesday I went to the insurance company from my Dad, I had a appointment there cause they settled the heritance from my Dad. Arrived there they told me that I really needed notary, to make it all officially. At the nearest notary agency they helped me out good, the notary would send me a letter that I'll have to read and probably will have to sign with my next visit to the notary. I'll have to bring a few things aswell, the certificate of heritance, a marriage certificate and a death certificate.
Quit a few things but it's all taking care off, most of the needed things I can pick up at my Aunt and Uncle's place. Upcoming Wednesday, if all goes good, I will visit the notary once again. I don't have to make a appointment, just hop in, deliver the needed things and sign. The I'm done and the heritance is mine. I'm glad it's all over then, my Uncle will come with me. Long and full week ahead, love it though. Tomorrow's work will be slightly different too, our foreman is on a holiday for four weeks. I guess I will have to fill in his space, yay!
Note to myself: I will do extra my best, actually looking forward to it. Today was a nice day aswell, rested and did a few house holdings. Dusted, one load of laundry and vacuumed. After dinner I went for a little walk, the weather was nice so I thought, why not? On my way back I bought a cornetto an sat in the sun for a little 10 minutes. It's the little things that does it, right? Life is good, and I'm getting pretty excited about the major trip to the US! 43 days to go! Woot! Roll on June!

Just a bit cooler today...
Just a bit cooler today...
I didn't expect the cooler weather this Saturday, so, there I went in my shorts and t-shirt, lol. Woohoo, cold wind I thought, and it didn't get any warmer. I was on my way to the bank, last week I was about to pay the last part of my debt of the 'housing benefit.' But the cheque returned cause I made a writing mistake, lol, sigh! The bank helped me out friendly, thank God they were open this Saturday for a while. Problem solved. This day you could compare a bit with yesterday, I rested in the morning, and went out to do things in the afternoon.
After the bank visit I went to the forest, just like yesterday. Though In didn't stay long, it was just to windy and cooler. I continued my plan for this afternoon and went to the second hand store, I didn't went there for a long time. It's a huge place and always fun to look around. Two months ago I brought alot of stuff there, just some of Dad's belongings. It was quit alot, but funny enough I didn't see much of Dad's items back. Only the doll I recognized, sigh. It was awkward to see the doll back.
I scored two decent jeans at the second hand store, they were 5 Euro each, woot! I needed a few pants for work, that's been solved now too. After the second hand store I did my groceries and returned home. A nap was needed. The warmth from the last two days can be exhausting, I guess I need to get use to the warmth, though I'm not complaining. I'm loving the Summer, everyone seems nicer and happier. Tomorrow will be cooler aswell, that's okay, it's Sunday rest day anyway.

Unexpected productive day.
Unexpected productive day.
It's quit warm this evening in the house, and it's only been warm for two days. I really gotta air some more, open a few windows or doors in the evening. Though mosquito's and other insects might come flying or crawling in, or even mice or rats. I have seen a rat here once, not in my house though (thank god) but in the shed downstairs, it was huge. So, if I open a window or door, it won't be that long or wide open, lol. About mosquito's, I have been bitten today once, I rided my bike trough town towards the forest this afternoon. The weather was so nice, I really had to get out and sniff some sunshine. We have two forests here, Nijrees and Graven Allee, the last one is my favorite, in that forest I have been bitten, lol. I sat on a bench resting and there the mosquito came, ouch! Mosquito's in June? I thought they only come in late Summer.
Yeah, it was quit a productive day this Friday, unexpected really. Blame the warm weather, I mostly get a energy boost then. This morning I went to check my balcony, just checking if I can do something with it. Perhaps a few plants or outside chairs. First thing I saw was that my balcony could really us a cleaning. The windows were dirty and the floor could use some sweeping, I started right away. I couldn't turn around and leave it like that. I sweeped the floor and washed the windows plus railing, the water afterwards was black. Thank god I cleaned it, I took a nap afterwards. When I woke up and got up I saw a few guys trough my front window walking with a ladder, I could see they were from a cleaning company, cleaning windows. There were about to leave. I saw their van and I wrote down quicly the phone number. Then I rushed downstairs to ask them something.
I was on time and I asked if they could do my front window aswell, I pointed to the window with the bird poo on it, lol. That window really could use a clean up. though it's such a struggle and hard work to clean it. I don't own a ladder, and without a ladder it's almost not to do. The guy told me to ask their boss, I asked and it was fine, though it costed me 6 Euro. While one of the guys cleaned my window I rushed to the nearest bank machine, cause I didn't had the 6 bucks on me. When I got back the guy was nearly done, I payed the boss and told them I was happy with the cleaning. These cleaners were Turkish, so, they didn't talk or understood that much Dutch. But oh well, I was happy 'that' that window was clean. Yup, a nice day, thanks to the gorgeous weather, tomorrow another Sjon-shiny day!

Finally Summer?
Finally Summer?
The temperatures went way up the last few days, I love it, it gives me a boost of energy. Had a lovely day at work aswell, there weren't that many workers today, A few had a day off, I can't blame them with this great weather. The temperature went up until 26 C. degrees. Just a few clouds, but mostly sunshine. I really love it, I hope it lasts. Today was aswell the last working day for our foreman, he's going on vacation for four weeks.
Now, who will lead our section now? They told it was me, but I don't fall for that, lol. I think we can manage our selves pretty well without our foreman. When I have a question or I can't keep up with something, I can always ask for help. There are several options. I'm sure some workers in our section will come to me aswell when they have questions. Together we will manage these four weeks, I'm actually looking forward to it.
Plans for the weekend? Nope, I will let these days just come over me, I won't go out I guess, at least not far away. The weather is good, so that's a plus point. I could go out for a long bike ride, that's a idea. I will check tomorrow aswell for my received heritance letter, it will probably be there. For now, I think it will be a warm sweaty night, I showered, cleaned my sheets, it's all good.

Inheritance!
Inheritance!
The heritance appointment went fine, though I was getting alot of information, and that made it a bit confusing and hard to understand. Only my Uncle went with me, my Aunt was sick. Gosh, my Aunt and Uncle are so kind and do as much as they can for me, it's almost unreal, I'm almost feeling guilty about it, lol. Sometimes you hear that a heritance can bring alot of argues or hisfits in families, but it seems my Aunt and Uncle really want that I get this heritance. Anyway, first we went to the actual place where the appointment was, the insurance company from my Dad. These people sent me aswell the heritance appointment invitation. In the invitation stood all the information I needed plus a few things I needed to do, make a copy of my bank card plus my passport, and I needed a certificate of inheritance,
At the insurance they told me that a notary was really needed, first I hoped I could do without.
A notary cost alot money, but okay, when it's needed, it's needed. The insurance company told me that a notary is here near by, so from the insurance we went there. Still a bit confused, but the lady from the insurance told me not to worry, "The heritance will be yours, cause you have the right on it." My Dad had no testament, so the money will go straight to the inheritor. The money for the funeral has been paid, or will be paid. My Dad has a good life insurance, 'they' will take care of it, according to my Uncle. Perhaps a few debts (taxes) from my Dad has to be paid aswell, or has been paid. My Uncle and I were quit calm about this all. Specially my Uncle, cause he's the one who took care of all Dad's mail, debts, insurances, etc, etc. And when my Uncle is calm about it, I should be too. still it all gives a double feeling, feeling a bit guilty that I take Dad's money, though I really could use the money aswell.
I think those feelings makes the heritance confusing and difficult to understand. It's quit simple, I know, but still. We weren't that long at the notary, we did our story and the notary heared it all and took our information and wrote it down. Though we missed a few things to make it all officially. The notary still needed the certificate of heritance, and a marriage certificate from my Mom and Dad. The notary told me that he will sent me a mail later in the week, I will have to read it, fill it in and bring the two certificates I forgot today. On my next visit to the notary, (probably next week) I can just visit the notary without a appointment, show the filled in papers what I recieved from them, plus the certificates and that's it. Sounds pretty easy right? Ugh, I wish it was all behind me... I don't know what still has to be payed, or has been payed from my Dad's passed.

Appointment tomorrow!
Appointment tomorrow!
The 'heritance' appointment is tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it. I didn't look forward to it first, Wednesday is a resting day, after giving a 100% at work on Monday and Tuesday I need a good rest on Wednesday. But, oh well, the appointment is around 11:00 am, it's all good. Taking the train from 10:30 am, and arriving at 11:45 in Nijverdal. From there my Aunt and Uncle will pick me up and we will drive to our appointment. I will take with me the 'wanted' copies and the appointment invite. piece of cake. I'm thinking of (if the 'heritance' goes well) to give my Aunt and Uncle a little part of the heritance. I know it's not always been good to the both of us, disagreeing, argues and a few his fits, but forgive and forget. I must admit, they did alot for my Dad. I didn't always agree with them and didn't always like the way they handled things, but I'm thank full too. I think it's a nice gesture from me to them.
The two days of work were exhausting much, I just have given to much, once again. Last night I though, 'How on earth will I come to the second day of work?' But I managed, here and there a few tough times, with feeling pressure on my chest, and dizziness, but okay. It's resting time now, Next week will be different. Next week my foreman goes on a holiday, he's going 4 weeks to Kansas City, his parents live there. I don't know if it were jokes or if it was serious, but 'they' have been telling me that I will be the 'foreman' next week. Well, I hope it, it will be a challenge for me, bring it on! I will be more then ready to learn a few new things, totally not worried. But again, perhaps it's all jokes, lol. It's all fine with me. A foreman at our section is not really a boss though, he guides us, we all do it together. Perfect!

Monday, Monday!
Monday, Monday!
I always get a little to enthusiastic on Monday at work, actually not only on Monday, actually every working day. Today aswell, I worked on my own section and got a bit overwhelmed with enthusiasm, lol. I really enjoy the work I do, then I get carried away and regret the hard and fast work afterwards. Realizing that I still have to work the complete day, plus the next day. I got to listen to my body more then to my mind, though that's not that easy. My mind always wins and takes it over. Ofcource I realize that I don't have the same energy then a normal healthy person.
But still. The fore-man where I work with is a damn hard worker, no one can compete with him, no one. He is the one who leads our section, and that's not always easy. He gets carried away sometimes too with our work, and then it's a hell of a job to follow or keep up with him. I tried a few times in the beginning, but it's impossible, specially with my energy level. Sometimes he doesn't understand about my less energy. ot he doesn't want to understand. But oh well, that's a thing I need to learn aswell, speak up!
Probably I will get a phone call from my Aunt in a little hour, it's about my inheritance from my Dad.To receive this inheritance there has to be a few things done. First of I need to make a appointment with the people who made this inheritance possible, my Aunt and Uncle took care of that today. I needed to make a copy of my bank card and passport, I did that today at work. Plus I need probably a civil law notary, just to get this all officially. Maybe (almost sure) I will get the appointment this coming Wednesday morning.

Yeah, I know, I know...
Yeah, I know, I know...
I forgot to write a post yesterday, so I will write two posts in one. I can be short in the first post, I had a great day yesterday. Amsterdam was nice, long day but so much worth it. The weather was unexpected cold though, it started out with a bit of dust rain. I was glad I brought a extra thin raincoat, I weared it in the first half of the day. The things I wanted to see I saw all, only I missed out the PC-Hoofdstraat, but oh well, there's always a next time. Amsterdam is huge, there's no way you can see everything in one day. I was surprised by the amount of canals and bridges, there were so many.
Ofcource I saw other sight seeings aswell, such as a Magnum pleasure store, and a huge cruise ship taking of from the 'Ij,' just behind the Central train station. Amsterdam was full of tourists, as usual, it made me almost not possible to take pictures, lol. Around 5:pm I took the train back towards Almelo, no switching trains this time, just all the way back in one ride, loved it. My legs were quit okay, though I was glad I was home. Today I rested and I had a visit in the morning from my Aunt and Uncle, it was about my inheritance from my Dad.
I received the letter a few days ago, my Aunt called me to ask if I received it already. Cause it was them who got the inheritance letter first. All mail what my Dad still receives and had received goes and went to my Aunt and Uncle, reason? Cause my Dad had most of his mail coming from his town Nijverdal, (Insurances, bank, licences.) it's easier for me that my Aunt and Uncle handle all my Dad's still received mail cause they live in Nijverdal and I'm not. The inheritance letter went first to my Uncle, but this letter involved me, so my Uncle sent it to me.
It's quit a sum of money what I (probably) will receive, though since I got this letter I have mixed feelings. Sure, it's always nice to get money, I sure can use it. But, it brings sad feelings and thoughts back aswell, I almost can't describe it, like, "it's not my money, I can't take it, it's not mine." But now it is, I have the right on it, but still. Do I deserve this? Yes, I'm my Fathers Son, and hey, my Dad would be mad if I don't enjoy this sum money, sending me bad vibes from above.
Anyhow, to receive this inheritance there has to be a few things done, not much, but it's a must. First of I need to make a appointment with the people who made this inheritance possible, my Aunt and Uncle will take care of that, they live close by these people. I need to make a copy of my bank card and passport, plus I need probably a civil law notary, just to get this all officially. My Aunt and Uncle told me to avoid the notary, cause a notary will cost me quit alot. I agreed with them, so we will try to get the inheritance officially without the notary.

Amsterdam tomorrow!
Amsterdam tomorrow!
Today I planned and made a small walking/sightseeing route trough Amsterdam, Amsterdam is pretty big. There's no way you can see everything in just one day in Amsterdam, planning the route took me almost the whole day, lol. The route I will be walking is a short of a huge round trough Amsterdam, first of to the gay-monument. Why? Just because. I never went there, so tomorrow I will. Pretty close to the gay-monument is the Wester Church, and right beside the Church is the Anne Frank's house. Yeah, I planned my route wisely, lol.
If or when there's no line up I might go inside Anne's house. I'm pretty sure there will be a line up, but I will see. I will be leaving early tomorrow, probably around 7:30 am. Long day, but it's sure gonna be worth it. From Anne Frank's house I will be walking too the 'Jordaan,' the Jordaan is a old typical Amsterdam's district neighborhood. The Jordaan had a lively music scene in the 20th century. Several of the most popular musicians now have a statue in their memory, Rembrandt spent the last years of his life in the Jordaan, on the Rozengracht canal. He was buried in the Wester church.
From the Jordaan I will be walking towards "Spui," Spui is a little square just near the National Monument. From Spui it's not far walking to Begijnhof, Begijnhof is one of the oldest inner courts in the city.Pretty excited about to visit Begijnhof, I have been many times in Amsterdam, though I always walked the same route. Shopping and watching people, don't know why I enjoy it now more then I use to do, lol. Probably old age, LOL!
It seems that the older you get, you enjoy more of the things your not that much enjoyed when you were younger. Uhm, yeah. From the Begijnhof towards the Rembrandt plein, a major square in central Amsterdam, named after the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn who owned a house nearby from 1639 to 1656. From there I will be walking to the Museaplein, that's a square full of musea's. It's located at the square are three major museums - the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, and Stedelijk Museum and the concert hall.
My route will be nearly done after this, there's only the Vondelpark and the PC-hoofstraat. The Vondelpark is a huge park what is well known in Amsterdam. Yearly, the park has around 10 million visitors. In the park is an open air theatre, a playground and several horeca facilities. And finally the PC-Hoofdstraat, a long street with the expensivest shops in Amsterdam, a street for the rich people, like me, lol! I never been there, tomorrow I will. Probably I will see some Dutch celebrity aswell, would be fun. Pretty excited day ahead, today was a resting day, I had some important mail aswell today, but more about that tomorrow or Sunday.

Here's da weekend!
Here's da weekend!
Sore arms and neck, though it was a nice day at work. For sure I will be looking forward to the following days off. I worked on a different section today, it's a section close to my own section. I worked there last Tuesday too, I don't like it that much there, I prefer my own section. But anyway, work is work, money is money, and it ain't that bad. While working it's wise to relax your muscles, let it all loose, lol. Though, today was rough, I had to help with a few mats which was a hell of a job. It's hard to explain how we made those mats, they were just small mats, though it was exhausting work, not heavy but tyring. While making these mats I held my neck muscles stiff, lol, I don't know why. We worked on a table with our elbows on the table and the hands did most of the work. You actually have to see it.
You know, I sometimes wish that we fellow workers appreciate each other work more often, there's always jokes and singing, aswell teasing each other. Most of the time it's funny but sometimes, enough is enough. For example when another fellow worker did a good job, he should get a compliment or another appreciation. It's better then joking towards him and say, 'oh, your done now? I thought you could do it much faster.' Or, 'Wow, finally your done.' It's mostly all jokes, but like I said, enough is enough. It gets annoying after a while. Yes, I witnessed too a few times towards me, actually several times. I laugh about it or ignore it, I should joke along with them when it happens or just speak up sometimes.
Anyway, first the three days of. Tomorrow I will rest fully the whole day. Saturday I will go out, early up and on my way to Amsterdam. The weather forecast for spelled cooler weather but it's dry, dry is good! I have been many times in Amsterdam, but always on the same spots. This time I will take other route's, for example, the musea square, probably Anne Frank's house, the Jordaan, Begijnhof, etc, etc. Amsterdam is a huge city, there's so much to see and explore. I want to leave early and really take my time there, I think I will take the train around 8:30 am. I will take lunch with me, and have a cheap dinner in the late afternoon. Ofcource I take pictures, lol

951th post.
951th post.
Another full day is about to end, a kind of a busy with here and there a little rest. I had two short naps today, the naps are needed, were needed. Two appointments, a coffee visit and a free dinner, a nice day after all. Minus the flat tire, ugh!
Therapy appointment.
It's been two weeks since my last breathing therapy, I now had 9 therapy lessons, still there's 3 more to go. I asked my therapist how many lessons I still needed, cause I didn't had a clue how many there are to follow. Also I didn't know if these lessons were free or that I would get a debt in my mailbox after the therapy has ended. The therapist told me that I was planned for 12 lessons, if I will continue after these 12 lessons then I would have to pay for them. 30 Euro and something for one lesson. I think it's fine that I will stop after 12 lessons, it was good, I learned alot.
My therapist told me that I still have to practice hard , I wasn't able yet to let go of my 'pressure' in my muscles. Specially in the area of my shoulders, when I lay down on my belly and the therapist pulls my shoulder and arm I can almost feel a breath of air flowing trough that area, it's a nice feeling. After letting go of my arm and shoulder, I can feel the difference. Probably to much tension in my shoulders area, without even noticing it. Maybe the tension in the shoulder are has been totally growing in, lol. Yep, practice is a must.
Volunteer appointment.
After the therapy I went to the volunteer appointment, I still had a little hour to go, so I first bought some little groceries. The building (volunteer agency) where I had to be was so hard to find, after searching I really had to ask someone. 'This' area looked like a huge parking lot, with several many buildings. All the way in the back was the building I had to be, it's good that I asked, otherwise I would never have found it. I had a email a few weeks ago from the volunteer agency, they wanted to know how I was doing at the moment, how far I was with searching for volunteer jobs. 'Did something has changed when it comes to work or with my health?' or 'do I still want to continue with searching for volunteer jobs?' Etc, etc. The volunteer agency has been moved from the centre of the city to a another area in the city, the building looked nice from the inside. No doors what so ever, you can look straight in the offices. The lady where I had the appointment with told me that this building was first a old school for gypsies.
This lady guided me trough a few questions, what my interests were and my hobbies, she aswell asked what I'm actually searching for in the volunteers jobs, well, easy, social contacts! My answers were filled in and together we searched for a few volunteer jobs, she had a whole list on the computer. But we couldn't find any what actually suited me. I told her there was no rush, I'm sure there will come something. Most of the 'jobs' involved helping elderly people. There were aswell 'jobs' where I had to be a kind of a leader with scouting kids, yikes, I don't know about that, lol. I like kids and love to be around them, but me a leader? Hmm. I can search for myself aswell, this agency has a internet-site, so all good. I'm not in a rush, like I said. It's better to wait and search in your own time, then go all ballistic and think I really, really have to find a volunteer job or otherwise...
Flat tire!
I left the volunteer agency and the huge parking lot with a flat tire, geesh. I wasn't expecting that, and it sure wasn't in my planning. My planning was to have the appointments in the morning and have a good long rest in the afternoon. Change of plans, grr! From the agency to the nearest bicycle repairer was quit far, specially walking cause of the flat tire. I decided to ride my bike instead of walking. The nearest bike repairer was at the train station, probably a 15 min bike ride, make it 20 minutes, due the flat tire, lol. It's not very relaxed riding with a flat tire, but I arrived. The bike repairer was very friendly as always, I knew that he would fix my bike in a no time, I have been there before.
I think this was the fourth time. The tire and inside tire were surprising still good, wow! Only the inside tire was folded double, lol. Just because I rided all the way on that flat tire. What caused the flat tire was the 'tire valve,' it probably had a leak. The repairer checked my inside tire with a bucket of water for holes, checked my rear wheel, (some spakes were loose) put on a new tire valve, and done. All done in a little 20 minutes, I asked what I owned him. "Nothing," he told me, wow! So, this morning ended all good either way. The bike repairer told me that if or when the tire will go flat again in a few hours, I can always come back. Well, so far so good.
Afternoon.
I took my rest in the afternoon, I went on a visit too for a short time. I went to Ina for a coffee, I haven't visited her in a long time. It was nice seeing her again. After the coffee I went to the free dinner, that was nice aswell. Hopefully my tire will hold it and no go flat again in the early morning, otherwise I will have to walk to work. Before going to bed I will check my tire once more, superstitious I am, LOL!

Sometimes I wish some people understood...
Sometimes I wish some people understood...
Sometimes I wish some people understood what it is to have a chronic condition, in my case, my sick thyroid. It's sometimes hard to explain what you go trough, or how it to live with a sick thyroid. Today, I had to carry a heavy big box from one hall to another hall, I think it was about 27kg. A fellow worker went with me to carry a box too. The fellow worker walked in front of me with his box, I followed right behind him with my box, lol. I couldn't hold up with him and I slowed down a bit, the box was getting heavier. I thought, 'Okay, I'm slowing down, not a big deal.' My health first, as always. When I arrived back in the main hall I let out a big loud sigh, lol. Some of the fellow workers laughed and told me not to be a pussy, ah, just some inside jokes.
One fellow worker asked 'Hey, how old are you Sjon? And how old is the other carrier? I'm 45 and the other carrier is 43. I think they couldn't understand why I letted out a deep, loud sigh after carrying the box. The jokes went a bit on, and then it stopped. Afterwards I tried to explain that my energy level isn't the same as the other carrier, but, that's like explaining to little toddlers that Santa Claus doesn't exist. I didn't like the jokes that much, though ignoring it is the best, so I letted it be. Almost nobody knew what a thyroid is, and what it does. I dislike it, and I dislike criticism too. In the end I asked a few fellow workers if they could answer me why I work only 3 days a week. There has to be a reason for the only 3 days of work, right?
I wasn't mad still, but it annoyed me. I really wish sometimes people would understand why I only work 3 days a week, and why I can't work a 100%, etc, etc, specially my fellow workers. Though, ofcource most fellow workers have a attitude, a attitude like they wanna say, 'Hey NO nagging or whining, be a man, work! Ofcource, there's not much wrong with that, I have it sometimes too. Though on a certain level. I have to, otherwise I collapse. I don't like bragging on myself, but in my eyes, I do a hell of a job at work. I didn't even know I had it in me, I like and love my job, and you can see "that" while I work. The days when I'm off are my resting days, and I deserve them and most of all I need them. I know aswell that I have to speak up more, 'man up, and speak up.'
Though, there will always be inside jokes, or nagging from fellow workers, it's the way you handle it. Best is just to ignore them or probably joke around with them. Laugh about it, I think that's the best to do. After work a fellow worker told me that my Boss knows what your able off and that should be enough. She was right.

Poor belly!
Poor belly!
I woke up last night with cramps in my stomach, I had right away a clue why I had them, last night dinner, pasta! I added just a bit to much veggies, it was so power full. Though it tasted so good. I added, leek, mushrooms, sprouts, tiny bit shredded cheese and a tiny bit pumpkin seeds to the pasta. Yeah, I guess that was a bit to much. I wanted to try sprouts this weekend, and so I did. Ofcource I always have left overs when I prepair a meal, I had sprouts left overs plus mushrooms left over. It would be a waste to throw them out, and save them a week is not a good idea. So I added the left overs in the Sunday's pasta, lol. The cramps kept me awake trough the night, though trough the day my stomach felt better, no cramps. I have left over from the Sunday's pasta too, I always prepair two portions a meal on Sunday.
One for Sunday and one for Tuesday eve.' I don't feel like cooking when I get back from work. Though tomorrow I will throw out the pasta, I don't feel much for cramps again, lol. I will buy some soup after work, I think chicken soup will be good. Lesson learned, lol, veggies are good but to much in one meal, no. What a gorgeous weather today, 18 C. and lots of sunshine, it felt so good. Tomorrow another day like that, just a tiny bit warmer. Though, (as always) this gorgeous weather won't last. Tomorrow night we get rain and afterwards cooler weather, this will contain until Saturday, ugh! Dutch weather always change within a day, I hope the following days the Dutch weather will change too, sunshine please!

What to write, what to write.
What to write, what to write.
It's 9:36 pm, I will be in bed in 30 minutes I think. But first writing this post, it was a nice weekend. Rested well, and did what had to be done. Lots of laundrey and ironing, and some major cooking. Cooking was a succes, sometimes I screw up, though I will eat it anyway, lol. Friday I had potatoes with mushrooms and pieces of carrots. (succes!) Yesterday I prepaired sprouts for the first time, I added a bit curry powder and it turned out good. Together with the potatoes it tasted good.
Only the sprouts could have baked a bit longer. They were a bit hard, lol. Today I made pasta with leek and I added some of the left overs from Friday and Saturday, mushrooms and sprouts, (succes!) I actually made this pasta dice up by myself. Three good meals and they weren't even that expensive. The weather will finally turn into summer tempatures this coning week, 18 C. tomorrow. Hopefully the coming weekend will be good aswell, I have plans to go out then. But first a working week, I'm looking forward to it, hopefully there will be enough work.

Vacation money.
Vacation money.
Every year somewhere in May or June I receive extra vacation money, my work and my other half of my income (Gak) take every month 8% of my loan, until May. Last week I received the first part of the vacation money, and I must say, 'Not bad, not bad at all.' I would love to receive such mail more often, lol. It's way better then paying this or paying that. More good news is that I'm nearly done with paying back a debt, which I had to pay since I got back from Canada. The debt I had to pay was from housing benefit, I forgot to stop the the monthly benefit I received when I lived in Canada, so, I received monthly money what wasn't allowed. (What did I know? back then.) That money had to be payed back, as of now, it's only one month and then I'm done with the debt! There's only one more debt I still have to finish, though that will take a little year still. (Were getting there)
I noticed that I usually go out on a Saturday recently, though today I stayed in. I'm not that rich as I think I am. It's positive thinking, never think you have enough money, never think you are rich! I always take care of my money, I look at the cheap prices when I do groceries, I always think twice if I buy something. Like, do I really need it? Or, can I afford it? No, I am not that always that niggard sometimes I spoil myself on something too, lol. But not always. Today I saved some money, I have plans to go out the next weekend. Probably Amsterdam, it has been a while since I have been there. A pretty long while actually. I did my last part of my groceries today and... that was it actually. I spent a long time while doing groceries, the weather was good. I like a bit of warmer days.

"Flashback."
"Flashback."
Just before my afternoon nap I had a short flashback of my time in Canada, not the fun part but the horrible two last months part. The flashback made me realize that the last two months in Canada (Dec./Jan. 2009/2010) were probably the worst, saddest, confusing months of my life. Saf broke up with me, I think it was the first week of December 2009. "I think it's better for you to go home, it's over," were her last words. I saw the break up kinda coming, but still when she announced it, it knocked me out. This was for real, it's over and out, I have to leave. Leave, with no place to go, I did not even had money to go actually back. And where to? My house in Holland was gone, probably rented to other renters, I sold all of my belongings too. What did I need to get back to Holland? A place to stay, money for my trip back, (Canada/Holland) and so much more.
In these two last months I achieved it to get money for my trip back, (I sold many of my belongings on Craigslist, plus I had to ask my Dad for money, sigh!) I managed to get a place to stay in Holland. (though that didn't last long, I moved three times in almost two weeks.) Now, now I'm here, living again in Holland. It's all good, though my life is much different then it was before I went to Canada. Different, better aswell in some kinda ways. I can say I went from downhill, a very down hill! To uphill, slowly moving uphill. But thinking back of those last two months back in 2009/2010 was horrible, I have been ignored, had no support from anyone in the house. I just did what I had to do, and that was though. I floated and wandered around, had many walks just to be out of the house.
The ignorance and no support was hard on me, imagine living in a house with 9 people, and it feels like no one almost notice you. They lived their lives just like nothing has happened, kids going to school, Saf went out and did her daily things. Saf went out aswell with other friends, I never felt so alone at that time in a full house. I tried to do the house holds aswell, just to get 'thoughts and worried' out of my head. Dishes, laundry, kids to bed and shoveled the lawn several times. The walks I head plus the shoveling were good to let my some what anger out. It should have been a relief for me to get out of that place once and for all, but it wasn't, though I couldn't take any longer aswell. I missed the kids once back in Holland.
But anyway, I'm here now, and all is good. I managed me to get a job, I met lots, lots of people, I even went on trips, Paris, Berlin and London. This year I'm going to America, sometimes I want to scratch my head or shake my head, I just can't believe what I all went trough since I took of on that plane to Canada, in March 2009. Perhaps it was all needed, but oh my, oh my what a ride it was! End of rant! Back to this Friday, lots of resting in the morning. I had some sore muscles from yesterday, lol. The sun shined plenty this day, aswell when I went out to buy groceries. Though as soon I jumped on my cycle it rained, I looked up but couldn't see a dark cloud, lol. It kept raining until I got home, I tell you, the weather was out to get me today, lol!

New post.
New post.
Sometimes I don't even know what title I should use for my post, though I always start with the title. Sometimes a title just comes to my mind just like that, today this came to my mind, 'New post,' lol. Right, I will be short about the Dutch weather, cold, windy, rain, in other words, anti-Summer. Could you believe that last year on this day we had temperatures of 30 C. Three times higher then the temperatures we have now. I'm putted on a thick sweater when I got back from work, while I'm writing this I finally start to get warm, sweating actually. Hmm, I might take it of, lol.
Okay, enough about the Dutch weather, I'm sure it will be better in June or July, or whenever. Enjoyed work today, done alot, finished one huge order, love it! Just red on the news that in our city the unemployment in Holland is the highest, hmm, thank God it goes okay here. Well, okay? Let's say 'so, so,' we have something to do, it could have been alot worse. Plans for the weekend? Not really, the weather is not that inviting. I will make it comfy inside, with a few nice dinners I will be making. Bone appetite!

"What's happening..."
"What's happening..."
It seems our world is getting more and more violent when you sum up only the cruelties already from this year. One of these days we have to be locked up in our own houses, just to be save. Stabbing and murdering everywhere, even here in our own country Holland. Today there was another victim attacked with knives and a meat cleaver in Woolwich. London.
Two men attacked a soldier on a London street in broad daylight Wednesday and beheaded him, authorities and witnesses said. "The pair chanted “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great,” during the sickening attack, according to witnesses." The news is full with this attack, after reading and seen the reports I'm quit concerned about this all. I mean, how will we people be like in the following years?
What will our future bring? No one knows, and maybe it's better not to know, maybe. Live day by day, live in the moment, life is short, live it! I should not complain at this moment on the weather, cause there are worse things. Not complain that it's cold, colder then normal around this year. Last year around this time we had 28 C. Today were having 11 C. Tomorrow 9 C. There was a strong wind this afternoon, I only wore my new jacket and new summer sweater. The wind went right trough it, when I returned I made myself a hot large cuppa tea to warm me up. I changed the bed sheets aswell, warmer sheets, seems like I'm getting back into the Winter mode, lol. Well, gotta stay warm, lol. I will wear warmer clothes aswell tomorrow, including a warm scarf.

Tornado Oklahoma.
Tornado Oklahoma.
I never ever witnessed a tornado before, it's quit spectacular when I see videos on YouTube from tornado's. The bigger the better, though tornado's aren't only spectacular, the also cost alot of damage and horrifying disaster. The tornado from yesterday in Oklahoma was huge! In the news today they told that Oklahoma is well known for their tornado's, but the people in Oklahoma and areas have never witnessed a tornado like yesterday. A giant tornado, a mile wide or more, killed at least 91 people, 20 of them children. I have seen pictures from it and red the news about this disaster, it's sad, and terrifying. What I also see on the pictures is that in such though and difficult times people are there for each other, taking care and helping out, where ever and when ever. God bless the fallen people from Oklahoma.
It's been a productive day at work, I figured tomorrow I will have a day off, today I can probably give a bit more then 100%. I was looking forward going back to work, that feeling I saw back in the amount of work I did. I enjoyed it, though it was exhausting aswell. The last mat I made was a big one and was alot of work. My foreman cam to me and asked friendly me if I could finish this mat before closing time, I told him that I will do my best but can't promise it. It was all good with him, though surprising, I managed to finish it. Hard work but worth it, the mat had to be filled with carpet, the filling has to be glued. The glue has to dry for a half day. The mat is done the glue can dry, tomorrow they can finish the mat completely. Good job Sjon!

Work tomorrow, finally!
Work tomorrow, finally!
I mostly look forward for short holidays, or any kind of holidays. Or just a day off, but if the holidays takes to long I get kinda bored and lazy. Lazy as tired without any reason to be tired, lol. The last two months we had several days off, there was Easter, Queens day, Ascension of Jesus, Pentecost, yeah I think that's it. All these celebrations or fests in two months time, just a bit to much, lol. Though the several days of were good when it comes to my job, there isn't much to do at work, we still need more customers, more orders, more work. I'm looking forward to work again tomorrow, it will be again a short week, but hey! There will be no more vacations until our Summer holiday. That will be a little 60 days, don't know how many weeks that is.
I had quit a nice day, I rested in the morning, though did some house holdings aswell, Whipped some floor parts, vacuumed, ironed and did some dishes. I went out for a little while aswell, for a coffee and a waffle at the nearest garden centre. A huge coffee actually, I wanted a different coffee then usual. I ordered a 'Grande' coffee, no clue what it meant when I ordered it, lol. It was a large cuppa coffee, so I guess 'Grande' means large. It was quit busy at the garden centre, I had to look for a seat to drink my coffee. Yeah, Pentecost today, everyone wants to go out. I had a nice little out, in the evening there was the free dinner, it was a nice meal. Nasi Goreng with some extras. Monday's free dinner is always good! Roll on Tuesday!

Maybe, perhaps, I might, I don't know...
Maybe, perhaps, I might, I don't know...
I maybe, perhaps, might stop writing posts, I'm not sure yet. I wrote more then 940 posts, everyday 1 post, without skipping. It's nice to write, but just that sometimes it's not that easy to write a post. Just like today I didn't do much, so there's not much to write. Well, I'm writing now, so, lol. If I stop I will stop on my 1000th post. Or perhaps after my adventurous trip to Atlanta. Georgia USA, but it's still a 'if.' Sometimes, just sometimes I look back at the written posts. It's interesting to see what I have all been trough or what I have done, it brings good and less good memories. I see aswell sometimes writing mistakes, then I have to change that mistake, lol, always!
Today we celebrate Pentecost, or as we called it 'Pinksteren.' Just like with Easter there are little fests and markets in every village and city in Holland. In the city where I live there are a few areas with stores open. It's nice to visit, though it's alot nicer with a full wallet, lol. I still haven't a idea what I will do tomorrow, I will just see what it brings. Our city Almelo, can be sometimes boring, there's just no that much to do. I got bored today aswell , I wished that I could visit someone or just go out and meet people. Why didn't I? I don't know. Sometimes I have that feeling, specially in the weekends. I could use some more social contacts, "I have to be patience, the contacts will come."
That's what the councelor told me last Wednesday. Hmm, yeah, he's right. Though, starting something to get me in the right way for social contacts is never wrong, right? Most of the time I'm good being on my own, but just that sometimes I wish that I could go somewhere where I could meet people. It's good for me, it's good to socialize, it gives a boost and a good feeling. I have been searching online for a few hours this afternoon, but just like usual, nothing! I haven't heard anything yet from the volunteer agency yet, they would call me, but, nothing. Wednesday I will surprise them with a visit, and I got a few other ideas. Nope, I'm not giving up, lol. And yes, I will be patient aswell, no rush.

"A good afternoon."
"A good afternoon."
I couldn't make the decision yet, with the train to Nijverdal or with my bicycle. It was dry and it would stay dry the whole day, there was even a chance of some sunshine, woot! I woke up at 7 this morning, I had a good sleep, though after breakfast I got tired again and felt like having a nap. And so I did. I had plenty before I would take off. Around 11 I took off, off to the train station. Yeah, it was close though, bicycle or train. The high smell of the flowers and trees made me decide to take the train. Hay fever, gotta love it. I wasn't disappointed to take the train, I actually was glad afterwards I did. It would have tired me out.First stop in Nijverdal (My ol' hometown) was a clothing store, it was the same clothing store as in Almelo. (same name, different store) The store is called C&A, probably also know in Europe, I'm not sure. I looked for a 'in between coat,' not a Summer or Winter coat, but a in between. I couldn't score in the store in Almelo, very nice coats but not my size, either to small or to large. But I scored in Nijverdal, so happy! Good size, yay! I have been searching into many stores for 'in between' coats, but most of the coats were Summer coats, ofcource... it's Summer. The price I had to pay was ridiculous low, that's what I said to the seller too.
The coat was on sale, it was only 35 Euro. To celebrate I had found a coat I went the Hema, a store like Walmart, but much, much smaller. I mostly buy a coffee there, they have always a nice terrace in there. It's nice to be back in Nijverdal, I have lots of memories here. Most citizens are friendly and calm here, no craziness here. There's a nice and calming atmosphere here, though I wouldn't return here. I have seen it here, it's nice to visit this village so now and then and that's about it. I live in Almelo now, Almelo has lots of foreigners, mostly Turkish people. Nijverdal has nicer spots then Almelo, and Nijverdal has that very comfy huge forest, I kinda miss that. But like I, said I can always visit. Next stop, after the coffee, was my Mom and Dad's grave. The flowers I bought a few several weeks ago were nearly dead. I will have to buy some stronger plants. This may sound silly but, the visit to the grave feels like a kind of a visit to my Mom and Dad. There's silence and just staring and thinking, but, for me it's still a visit. I like it, I show my parents I care and love them. I cleaned the tombstone here and there and that was it, I stayed for a little 15 minutes. I returned to the centre of the village, and felt good.
I figured that the just bought coat was a good price, so I could probably buy a nice scarf or a long sleeve with it. Although I visited several stores, I didn't succeed. The prices were incredible high or I just didn't like the color. I like trendy causal clothing, and not "to" bright colors, lol, I'm not a kid anymore. I returned to the Hema, cause I saw a nice long sleeve there for a low price. After a few doubts I bought it, I payed it and got a free coupon for a free coffee, just my luck, lol. I was done and returned to the train station, at the back of the train station there's the bus station. I had some ideas to visit my Aunt and Uncle too, but it was already late. (No it wasn't, lol) Allthough it was late I went anyway, the sign said I had to wait 30 minutes for the next bus towards my Aunt and Uncle's village. I bought then my last groceries first and then returned to the busses. The bus driver was nice and talked alot, all was good. It was my first time with a bus towards my Aunt and Uncle, I had no clue where the bus would stop, hopefully near where my Aunt and Uncle lived, I thought . Though the bus stopped, I had to walk a little 10 minutes, oh well.
My Uncle opened the door and guided me in, it was a short visit, but a nice one. I stayed for a little hour and returned to the bus stop. My Aunt had a bunch of photos for me, photo's from mostly my Dad, and a few from my Mom, very nice pictures. The bus was nicely on time, and stopped at the train station again. I still had 5 minutes until my trian leaves. I saw a ol' friend of mine at the station, a friend from way back, he's a nice guy. Adventurous much and a little weird, lol. We talked in the train, he was traveling some elsewhere, I had to get out in Almelo ofcource. It was a nice day, with here and there some surprising surprises.
Loved it!!
