"Found a doctor!"

"Found a doctor!"

Finally and unexpected, I found a doctor, and it wasn't even my plan to find one today. This Friday was a productive day, I planned a few things what I usually skip or think, "Ah! that can wait." I wrote two things down what I wanted to do and that I did, tomorrow I will do the same, writting things down again, just a few things. Today I planned to go to the housing corporation for a meeting and a talk, cause I had already a 'sign in' meeting there, but Linda (my counsilor at Humanitas) told me to show your face there a bit more, go for a talk. It's been a while since I have been there so I had to search first, but luckily I found it fast.

I went in and talked to a lady at the desk, I stumbled a few times first while talking, but she got the message. She told me there was no need for a second talk, I had already had a 'sign in' talk. Further she told me that they are working with a so called point-system, I will get every month one point, so, more months means more points means more changes to get a house. I have to have a certain amount of points to get the house you want, or other houses, more points more chances. So, another talk wasn't needed there, but either way I showed my face again, showing I'm interested in there houses.

When I got back I passed  a doctor's office, I thought, "Oh, ah! why not." I went in and spoke to the assistance, and told her that I was new in town, and that I really could use a doctor. I have been searching so long. She told me, that they don't take other patients from other area's. This doctor was in another area from the city where I lived, they only take patients from there own area. She asked me where I already have been searching for doctor's, and what were the doctor's name? I could only name one, cause there were to many where I have been. The assistant gave me a new doctor's adress and name, and told me that this doctor is taking new patients. His name is Dr. Heikens.

I thanked her and went back to Humanitas, I decided to go there after my lunch and nap. I still had some food left from the free dinner from last night, it was stew with meatloaf and lots of green beans, yam! When there's not so many people with the free dinner, you can get some food with you for the next day. After the stew I took a nap, I was tired... as I always am later in the week, blame the three days of work, but a nap does miracles. I washed my face after my nap and went off to Doctor Heikens, I googled the directions and here I went. I forgot to type in google maps that I was on a bike, so the trip took a bit longer, hehe, sigh!

After I asked a few people for the directions I arrived at a huge building, and went inside. The waiting room was huge, I'm used to small and cozy waiting rooms but this one was enormous. I searched for the doctor's assistant and saw a desk but no one was there, I waited a while. Then I saw a sign that made clear that I was standing at the wrong desk, I needed the other desk in the other hall. I told my story to the assistant and half way she giggled a bit and told me, "Yes, we take other patience, but there will be a 'in-take' meeting first with the doctor."

I was looking at her for atleast 5 seconds and thought, "Is she serious? Do I have a doctor now?" Yes!! I have a doctor, and I didn't even wanted to look for one today. Mission accomplished! I'm happy with it, oh yeah! The 18th of May there will be the 'intake' at 3:00 pm. I asked the assistant if I have to take something with me, she told me that, that isn't neccasary cause you will get some papers with you to fill in. I'm excited already, I have a Doctor!

While I'm here in Almelo, the city where I live now, I have been looking around a bit of what kinda houses they have here. And they are not bad I must say, there all kinda house. I like the small old farmer houses, what people sometimes renovate in to a luxury or modern house, really nice. Then there are the little city houses, penthouses, and the terraced house. To many to write them all down, but either way, I would like to live here, this is a nice city. It won't be like the villa's/bungalow's  I lived in in Canada, but that's not needed. My favorite houses here are the little renovated farmer houses and the little city houses, the terraced houses is a 'no,' If I had to choose.

Some pictures...

The old city houses, nice!

Terrace houses, naah, not my style.

Penthouses aswell in Almelo.

Old renovated farmer's house, nice!

There are lots more kinda houses, and most of them are nice. Yeah,it's nice  here, I will have to investigate the right kinda neighborhood though, there are some neighborhoods here in Almelo with low life people and that's not the kinda people I would like to live next to. My counsilor Linda knows this city and what kinda people live in Almelo, she will tell me where and not to live, it's all good.
