"All by myself."

'All by myself."

Still no sign of my loan this morning, I decided to go after it myself. With the coffee break this morning Mellisa came up to me and told me that 'we' have a appointment this morning, but she was to busy with other things for that appointment. She asked me if it was okay that we can shove the appointment to tomorrow, I thought, "Grrrr," but said, "Okay, alright." In the appointment she would have helped me with calling after my loan and second she would have helped  me for signing up for gas and water in my new house (Vitens for water and Electrabel for gas) I thought I'm not gonna wait till tomorrow, I will go after it myself. And so I did, after the coffee break I washed my face, washed my hair, putted my shoes on and off I went. It looked like it would rain, grey clouds came rollin in. But it stayed dry, first off to the housing corporation.(Beter wonen) When I got there a nice (looking) lady helped me right away, I told her that I would like to sign up for water and gas but I needed some 'numbers' what was missing on the 'moving'papers.

A rainstorm at Humanitas.
After searching for the right 'numbers' the lady told me that I don't have to sign up for gas and water, 'they' already had that arranged. It's all in one "package," she told me. The water, gas, electricity and rent is all in one. when I pay my rent every month I pay right away for the gas, water and electricity. That saves me money whaT I didn't know off, I don't have to pay an extra sum of money on top of the monthly rent. I went on to the City hall, there I will have to ask where my loan is. I was already worried that they would send me from here to there, I needed to stay foccused. I knew where to go, desk 14, it wasn't busy and they aswell helped me right away. After I asked what happened to my loan the lady behind the desk told me that I will have to call and ask for 'Elize Wolters,' (she's the woman who helped me with the loan) "You can call here if you want to," said the lady. There's a local phone in the building, only thing you have to do is pick up the phone and tell the one who's picking up the phone who you want to speak to.

What a huge rainstorm can do....
Ofcource I couldn't find the 'local phone,' so I asked someone, a guy helped me out. He guided me to the phone. When I picked up the phone they putted me on hold for like twenty minutes, after that I hanged up. I had enough for a while, I needed some rest, for my sake I did enough. I will try again later on, and actually, Melissa wanted to call after my loan today, so klet her do it. I was tired after I did a few groceries, the groceries were needed. After my lunch I tried to take a nap but I couldn't sleep, I don't know why. It was alright, I didn't mind. At 1:30 a huge rainstorm bursted loose above the city, before that the sky was extremly dark. It rained so hard that some of the living rooms and hallways here were flooded cause of the rain, even the big boss came to have a look. The rain came out of the ceiling andwas  crawling down the walls. A few residents helped out to get the water out of the rooms and hall ways, I helped aswell.

It even came down the stairs.
It was alot of work cause there weren't much tools to get all the water out, we used mobs and towels and that was it. I hoped it stayed dry to my next appointment. I planned a early dinner cause between five and seven the washing machine, gasstove and couch will be delivered at the house.  I made a easy pasta dinner, just from a package. It was nice though and it tasted good. At 4:30 I took of with a few bags what I already had packed, just some stuff I didn't need anymore here. First off to the bank to get some money for the gasstove, washing machine and perhaps couch. Ofcource I forgot something, like my cellphone and my wallet. Ugh! Don't you just hate it when your halfway and you forget something you really need. I thought for a few seconds, "Do I really have to go back,?  Yes I did. When I arrived at the house I felt comfy, I putted the keys in the lock in the first door and went inside, then three steps up and trough the hallway looking for number 25. Found it! I went inside and started with unpacking. Feels good.

Don't ask, hahaha!
I found a little bucket where I could sit on and wait, and have a little rest, the waiting took long, and I didn't know what time it was. I had to look trough the window if someone was comming with a washing machine or stove, etc. I don't have a front door, and not a doorbell, so I had to guess when someone would come with something for me. I'm good time guesser though, I can tell time without a clock. While waiting I got a bit bored and looked trough the house, I saw that the windows could use some cleaning, I will do that tomorrow.  Painting was not really needed, perhaps the kitchen walls, hmm, it can wait. The walls in the living room and sleeping room are okay, the red walls are fine, only the otherside I don't know yet. Still I was waiting for the people to show up, the gasstove won't show up anymore, I knew that for sure cause it was already late. The gasstove seller told me he would come between 5:00 and 5:30. I knew it was much later then that.

I decided to go outside when I saw a car driving around slowly, when I went downstairs an old lady walked in front of me and I asked her what time it was. She told me it was seven o'clock, wow! I couldn't believe I waited that long. I was right though with the slow driving car, it was the seller with the washing machine. The guy was friendly and helped me to get it out of the car, it machine had to go upstairs aswell, thank god for elevators! The washing machine was standing in my room within ten minutes, perfect. I payed the guy and thanked him, I grabbed my coath and headed of to Humanitas. Strange though going back there, comparing my home and the area with Humanitas is a huge difference. A positive difference, but I will miss the people there and there noises and voices.

Later when I got back the guy with the gasstove E-mailed me saying he was on time but he was at number 24 instead of 25, my fault though cause I told him it was number 24, sigh, hectic times. I mailed him back for a solution, wi'll see what happens tomorrow. He can bring the stove though, cause I will be cleaning there most of the day. It's nice being in the new house even though it's empty.
